This month, the Karlstad Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of visiting North Star News, where Krista shared her passion for storytelling, community reporting, and keeping local news alive in Karlstad.
North Star News has been a cornerstone in our community since 1969, and current owners Rollie and Julie Bergman, who purchased the paper in 1993, continue its legacy of accurate, small-town journalism that becomes part of our community’s history.
Krista encouraged everyone to share story ideas, event tips, photos, and community highlights—everything from local happenings to unique hobbies or standout neighbors. Local news thrives when the whole community participates!
